Alyson Kirk

bio: 

Alyson Kirk – (Kate), 12, made her professional theatre debut in this role in the third national company of Annie. She appeared in a few TV commercials and has made several TV appearances, including on PM Magazine. She takes voice lessons with Shirley Lemmon and dance lessons with Robin Hoctor. Alyson lives in Waldwick, NJ with her parents, her sister Carrie and brother Bill.

(Annie) Born Jan. 14, 1970, Alyson has a great deal in common with her four predecessors in this much sought after role. She was elevated to the star part after playing one of the orphans, as were Andrea McArdle, Shelley Bruce and Sarah Jessica Parker, and she comes from New Jersey, as Shelley, Sarah, and Allison Smith. However, she is the first Annie to have been in one of the national touring companies before joining the Broadway production. (she was Kate for a year in the 3rd national tour before taking that role in June of 1982 in New York) Alyson attends public school in Waldwick NY where she lives with her parents and older sister and older brother ( Carrie and Bill). She studies tap and jazz with Robin Hoctor and voice with Helen Moore Martin and Shirley Lemmon. She does many TV commercials (currently she's on those for Pringle Potato Chips and Holly Farms Chicken) and has made guest appearances on PM magazine and Louisville Tonight. She loves to play soccer, roller skate, ski, and swim.
