Theda Stemler

bio:

Theda Stemler – (Annie) Theda has joined the first national company of Annie after a year tour as the orphan July with Annie's third national company. While with that company, she also understudied the title role (playing that part a total of 26 times). Theda fell in love with "show business" when she played the title role of Oliver presented by her fourth grade class in her native Virginia Beach. After winning the title of "Little Miss Virginia Beach of 1977," her award led to extensive personal appearances with such celebrities as Soupy Sales for the March of Dimes telethon, and Marilyn King ( of the Kings sisters) and professional entertainers like Bob Newkirk and Maureen Arthur. Other stage and little theater productions include Oliver! and Showstoppers 1978.

(Annie) After touring a year in another Annie company as the orphan July and understudy to the title role, Theda was elevated to stardom by the producers in this company. She knew she was in show business to stay when she played Oliver! himself in her school production (4th grade) of that Broadway musical in Virginia Beach, Va., her hometown. She was soon crowned “Little Miss Virginia Beach of 1977” which led to many personal appearances, including one on the March of Dimes Telethon, with Soupy Sales, and parts in other productions such as Showstoppers, 1978, and local theatre productions.
